How it works

An IEPL dedicated line places key cross-border transmission segments on a relatively independent link, reducing the effect of public-network route changes on the connection. The device still connects through the local network, while the cross-border segment uses a more centralized routing structure and depends more heavily on fixed resources.

Best for

Suitable for long online meetings, remote desktops, code synchronization, large file transfers, and work tasks that require stable sessions. When you need to keep the same regional exit for an extended period, choose a dedicated line near the target city instead of switching regions frequently.

Cost considerations

Building and maintaining dedicated resources generally costs more than using ordinary paths, so coverage is more concentrated. Their value lies mainly in path control; they do not guarantee faster loading for every website. If the destination service itself is congested, changing route types may not change the outcome.

Their advantages are flexible combinations and broad coverage; the additional path segments also make task stability more important than the region name alone.

Choose a route by use case

Use a consistent order: identify the target service region, consider the task, then compare access methods within that region. This is more likely to produce a stable result than repeatedly testing routes across different regions.

BROWSE

Everyday browsing

For everyday websites, research, and light downloads, start with a nearby Asia-Pacific route. Hong Kong, Tokyo, or Singapore are usually good starting points. After connecting, keep the route for a while and check whether frequently used sites remain accessible. If only one site has an issue, try another route in the same region before switching to a more distant country.

Browsing usually does not require one fixed access method. Relay routes work well for general access, while direct routes can serve as a backup. For accounts used over the long term, keep the exit country consistent and avoid moving between several widely separated regions in a single day.

MEDIA

Online streaming

Check the content library’s region first, then choose a route marked as supporting streaming in the table. Platforms use the exit region, account region, and licensing arrangements to show different content, so opening the homepage does not mean every title belongs to the same region. After changing regions, close the existing playback page and open it again to avoid carrying over the previous session.

Avoid changing routes frequently during playback. Once streaming has started, keeping the current connection is more useful than comparing multiple cities. If buffering occurs, try another route type within the same country before considering a nearby country. This preserves a similar content region while adjusting the network path.

AI tools often involve sign-in, conversations, file uploads, and long-running generation tasks. Prioritize the account’s usual region and session continuity when choosing a route. The United States, Japan, and Singapore can be selected according to the tool’s service coverage, but avoid switching exits between regions repeatedly within one session.

Browser cache, account status, and service-side rules can also affect the result; the route is only one part of the access path. Choose a gaming route based on the server’s region, not the publisher’s country. For Asian servers, start with a nearby Asia-Pacific route; for North American or European servers, choose the corresponding region. Longer paths are more exposed to changes in intermediate networks, so avoid choosing a distant exit solely because of its region name when it is unrelated to the game server.

Game updates and live play can use different routes. Updates prioritize sustained transfers, while live play prioritizes path stability.
